Awesome

This song is a mosaic of strange dreamlike things happening very spastically all around me. I have only 2 choices..go insane or enjoy myself. I choose the latter :)

what can i say? its the song of storms, and played pretty well. It sounds very lifeless though, and very much like it was just sequenced

cool sounds indeed

This is definitely cool. The sounds and reverb make me feel like im in some kind of dark factory; typical of good industrial music. The only problem is that I don't find it very accessible to the average listener. I know you were going for a kind of experimental feel but I just can't imagine a situation where I would sit and listen to this casually as a simple tune rather than a complex piece of art that needs interpreting..

anyway, thats my 2 cents worth. keep on makin stuff!

It sounds like it might be a low-quality live recording of BB King or something. I mean that in the best possible way, as this is very good. It could definitely improve with better production though

Yes, all we had were a couple of cassette decks and a 12 channel mixer....lol
I just spent about 3 hours on fruityloops cleaning up the sound.
The original tape sounds sooo bad but thanks to parametric eq and some noise filtering...tadaaa!

You're a reason user, I can tell. That one epic kick that you use periodically is in one of the refills i just got :) I used it in one of my songs too. It makes a good intro, really grabs the attention. btw, song was great I'll give it a 9 and 5.

my thoughts

I love the melody, it makes me happy. The synths are all pretty cool and work well together. One very glaring problem though is that there is a significant amount of clipping, especially sometime around the middle of the song. Some levels need to be adjusted. Also, I had a hard time hearing the bass drum. I don't know if thats what you were going for or what but I kept expecting it to kick in and not hearing it.

I'm not sure if the clipping is due to the quality of the upload song because I had to down the quality to make it under 8mb or the song it self. It may be a bit of both. And yes I do need to bring up the levle of the kick. Thanks for taking the time to give me a review.

wheres the kick?

I can tell its hiding down there somewhere but its getting muffled/ compressed out of existence. Song is amazing, but any good techno song needs a strong kick!

drum too soft

The main complaint I have is that drums, especially the snare, sound too soft. The snare should be a little punchier and pierce through the fog.

Ok, advice taken! Thanks a lot! Also the chord pad makes the speakers sound bad so I'll probably change that.
