Equalization

Thats what your problem is. What your FL studio is capable of playing is not waht most other audio systems are capable of. You need to create a clean mix that causes the miniumum amount of overlap in the frequency spectrum, and then normalize everything as best you can to 0db. This song for example has a very prominant lead synth that will clip before any of the other tracks you have get even close to, so when you set up your track gain to clipping level, only the lead synth is fully utilized. Dont get discouraged, mixing is tough and takes lots of experience to master. hope this helps

great song! this could easily be on the soundtrack of an epic movie! kinda reminds me of the gary moore song "over the hills and far away". the drum beat is unconventional but works well for this song for some reason. if i were to make a suggestion i would say try to make the drum sound bigger (not louder). listen to gary moore and you'll know what im talking about.

Yeah I had the kick drum louder at one point but I was suggested to tone it down a little as it drowned out some of the sounds.

I really like this. it does a good job of capturing the ethnic flavor yet still staying easily accessable. It was kind of missing a low end for most of the song, but i dont know if you were going for that or not.

First of all, there were many things in this song that were awesome. Some of the arps that you threw in there were very cool, especially the xylophone one somewhere in the middle. What this song needs is more focus, more of a hook. The structure of the song is kinda random too, needs more order. I also agree that the sounds should sound a little more unique. Parameter automations should be thrown in to make the instruments sound more organic and less sterile. Very good start all in all though. Work on it some more and resubmit it. I would love to hear where you go with this.

Nah, FL Studio 8 inside Sonar 8. But I got all kinds of extra VST's from god knows where on the internet.

I'm really glad you liked the song tho. Yeah, I was pretty much going for as violent and hectic a song as I could come up with, so your description fits the bill.
